i've tried this in MODO and Archicad, and also in standalone and it's all the same - Denoise works in 2020 but no 2021
latest drivers installed
you can see in the devices tab for 2021 the Denoiser memory is 0 bytes (denoiser is selected)
in 2020 the Denoiser memory is >500mb
none of the 2021 releases (RCs etc) have worked for me
Any ideas please?
Denoise not working in 2021 working in 2020

Hi,
The denoiser memory data info in the device preference dialog is updated only after the first denoiser run (that is when the denoiser memory is allocated). So this window doesn't give us any clue.
Could you please render a scene with denoiser enabled in the standalone and then after it is finished(or the render might just be stuck at the end), check the log window(in Menubar Windows->Create log window) and check if any error related to denoiser got logged?
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi,
no issues here with Enterprise, or Studio 2021.1 and AI Denoiser, with RTX 3060: Please, download and run GPU-Z:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for all the available Nvidia GPUs, thanks:

ciao,
Beppe

the screenshots were taken after the first denoiser run. IOW i opened Studio 2020 and 2021, loaded the scene in each, started the render and then once complete switched to Denoise passvijay_thirukonda wrote:The denoiser memory data info in the device preference dialog is updated only after the first denoiser run (that is when the denoiser memory is allocated).
as the screenshots show, 2020 has some data to work with but 2021 does not
