Hi all,
I have a 2017 iMac with a Radeon Pro 570 4 GB, MacOS 12.0.1, Cinema 4D 25.015. It appear to not be able to select the GPU; it worked fine when I was using PR11.
I am not sure if it is related but in device preferences other than the GPU's name this only "Memory size" everything else is blank.
Anyone else have the similar issue?

Apparently it is acceptable to differ release date based on the price you pay. So Entreprise first and Prime last, and not just by one or two days but week(s). Maybe that should have been done on the 3 months of Monterey beta and maybe we could have gotten a stable version for the release of the OS and not a development build days or weeks after it.
It might work since I’ve gone entreprise license just for the sake of not waiting again.

Radeon Pro 570 is a Polaris GPU, but unfortunately, Polaris and Intel GPUs are not supported in PR12 SDK - there were some Apple Metal driver related issues.Grazina wrote:Hi all,

You need to go back to Big Sur 11.6.1 and PR11.
I'm sorry.

Do you have an idea if this is a temporary bug or an issue that the GPU family is missing Metal features now required so will not be supported going forward?
It would be good to know so I can make plans to switch renderer or buy a new machine.
If it is dropped I guess they could be understandable with a 5 year old iMac that was no high end at the time but my 3 year old 15" MBP has a Radeon Pro 560X (which is the same family) and that was the highest Apple shipped at the time so image it would quite a number of people on the go.
Hi Grazina,
better to switch renderer, buy a new machine, or add a Vega, Navi or Big Navi AMD GPU via Thunderbolt 3 + eGPU box.

Any news on when the PR12 for the Mac Pro offer will be available? It’s been weeks. You guys always overpromise and underdeliver. Can we have a frank date or answer?
