I have a weird issue: it seems the backplate option for the background doesn't appear through the holes behind a part with a specular shader.
On the render attached: the holes should be displayed full black, yet they are white ( displaying the HDRI ? )

Any options?

You might need to ask in the general Octane forum - however, I think there is a setting for this - something like Specular Material->Affect Alpha.

Thanks, Paul, I tried to adjust the Fake shadow and other Specular parameters, without success.

OK, suggest you ask in the general Octane forum in that case.
