Hey All,

Really hope there a quick fix on my end for this, or a quick fix plugin side :)

Whenever I have a specular material with a medium (absorption, scattering or RW) combined with a volume inside the Daylight Rig/HDRI from certain angles it produces a spherical shadow. This grows and shrinks in size depending on the medium radius within the Daylight/HDRI.

Im assuming maybe the camera is somehow being rendered in this setup which is casting this shadow as it only happens when the light is behind the camera. Or something to do with the camera's coordinates driving this? Ive tried using object tags/on off toggle to hide the camera from the renderer but no dice.

Super weird, but a job im on needs this setup and light angle (but this 'shadow' is killing my specular material) and im scratching my head with what I can try! This happens in DL, PT and PMC.

Also to note, this 'shadow' as you can see only shows on on the spec material with the scattering, it doesn't show up on any other geo.

Any advice or thoughts would be wonderful. Video below showing this in action.

So far this seems to be fixed in the 2021 version, whatever it was. Will keep on eye on it...!
