Hey All!
Hope all is well. Simple request here, height fog’s seem to be pretty standard in most daylight rigs across other render tools and apps and wondered if we could expect to see this inside Octane at all?
Manually positioning fog volumes and trying to match values has always been such a pain in large scale scenes, and never ends up looking right. Seeing the ease of use in other tools such as Unreal and Corona really has me jealous.
A height fog / atmospheric tint imo is long overdue and essential for realistic terrain work, and really hope an implementation is not out of the question.
Keen what others think?
Regards,
AW

Thanks for the reply, I didn’t know this feature request page existed! Although at the link you provided (from what I could see) none of the requests were actually about height fog/atmospheric absorption integration. Did I miss something? I don’t want to double up on requests...bepeg4d wrote:Hi AW,
