Hey Paul,
i have a few issues with the Export Animations Command. First of all my workflow is to build a rig with locators and dynamic parent the meshes to these locators. This works great in modo. When it comes to rendering animations i usually check Camera Motion Blur and Object Motion blur in the Animation Tab. In the live viewer scrolling the timeline some of the meshes do not update or move wrong. When exporting to orbx via the export animation command there is no movement at all.
This happened in multiple scenes, but when I tried to make a sample scene everything works as expected.
The good news is, i found a good solution. Unchecking object motion blur results in a way faster export time. Also very Mesh is separate and not a single abc file. So changes are much easier to accomplish in octane standalone.
So my question is: What is the recommended settings for exporting animations and do you know the reason dynamic parenting does sometimes not work?
Export Animation Issues

Hi. There is actually an issue with the latest version of the plugin, which means exporting to ORBX is not working correctly. The next version fixes this issue (or you can go back to the Octane 2020.2.4 version of the plugin). There is additional info at viewtopic.php?f=34&t=73940 which may help.
