interested as well, here
Specs: Apple MacBook Pro M1 max 64GB 2TB, MacOS 12.5 / MacPro 5,1 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8G, MacOS 10.13.6 / Mac Pro 5,1 with AMD RX5700 8G, MacOS 12.3.1 / HP Z600 with NVIDIA 3060 RTX 12G, Windows 10 pro + Netstor GPU box, 4 x NVIDIA GTX 980ti 6G.
I need to know when headless rendering will be implemented - I am currently applying for a grant to upgrade my main computer. I have two choices - a Mac Pro 2019 with 6800x duo or similar, or I could buy a monster PC, thread ripper and 2 x 3090s for the same kind of money.
I do not want to switch to PC completely, but for Octane use I'd be happy to use the PC as a render slave, with OSX as a front end.
I need to know if headless rendering will affect performance, but more importantly will it happen and if it is happening, then when???
