Render Region not working

Hi.

I haven't used Render Region in ages and now it doesn't seem to work in the current version of Octane for C4D. I am doing an important training at a large studio on Wednesday and need some support.

Most of the online tutorials about the render region are old and the icons look different.

In the current version, if you click on the button on the top of the Live Viewer, 8 buttons from the left, I expected that I could draw a render rectangle around the area you want to have rendered and it will ignore what is outside.

However it is not working. Clicking that button and then trying to draw a rect in the Live Viewer simply forces it to redraw the entire frame and no rect is visible or can be drawn.

What am I doing wrong?

I switched to my desktop machine and it works as expected. Still don't know why it doesn't work on my mobile computer though. I'll have to figure that one out some other time.

You can capture it and show what happened. It's not expected case else of an user mistake
