is it possible to convert an Octane proxy (in .orbx format) to a .obj or some other format?

The Octane Unreal Plugin, which has some pretty cutting edge features unique to that plugin, can in fact go beyond importing an ORBX as proxy, and also convert it into native Unreal scene, mesh, material, texture and shaders that can render in the UE5 engine directly without Octane.

We are also working on a robust ORBX-> glTF and USDZ exporter, and OTOY is part of Khronos glTF working group to add gltf features like the recent instancing extension, that allows ORBX scatter node conversion to gltf now.

In the future when Octane (and ORBX) includes support for Material X and Arnold's Standard Surface, we will export those to USD with these as an option, along with preview surface (similar to gltf PBR) and Spectral Surface (the current Universal Material+Layer)

this is interesting - thank you

OOI, are there any export options from UE (export to other formats, not export to game)?
