I have an issue with shadow catcher for both diffuse and universal materials. Everything work fine until you intend to use in your scene any self emitting surface with "Visible to diffuse" flag tiсked:
Please, fix it ASAP

it is a known limitation oif the Shadow Catcher material.
You need to use the Render Layer passes instead:

You can also use the render layer passes with AOVs, to compose the result directly in Render View: ciao Beppe
