Hi all

I am planning on buying an eGPU for my iMac(Retina 5K, 270inch, Late 2015)

4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB

I'm a student at the moment and on a tight budget. I don't need anything fancy just yet, but need something that works for my portfolio to get a job.
I was wondering if anybody have eGPU recommendations for someone like me. I want to gradually add more up once I get the job but at the moment, it's even hard to practice on my own. I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Hi,
since your Mac is equipped with Thunderbolt 2, please have a look at this article here:
https://github.com/mayankk2308/purge-wr ... eparations

And here:

You also need to to purchase the Apple Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter:

Here are a couple of eGPU solutions used by other Mac Octane users:

https://www.razer.com/gaming-egpus/raze ... 10200-R3U1
https://www.akitio.com/expansion/thunder3-pcie-box
*the last solution needs an external PSU to work, as explained here:
