Hello,
I try to use ACES but I could not solve only one problem. I've done ACES settings but I can't get proper sRGB PNG output.
I can't use EXR output (because I will render more than 300 scene and every one of them 250 MB+ plus I have to correct their color space and export as png to edit in lightroom. So the fastest way is getting PNG output from render directly)
you can see my settings and results as attached.
Any idea on where I'm doing wrong?
thank you.

ACES, sRGB PNG output problem

found that "LV->Options->Use display profile" is causing problem for display. Disable it and restart C4D.
And use 8-bit render buffer
And use 8-bit render buffer

Hi, thank you for your time. I've checked your suggestion:aoktar wrote:found that "LV->Options->Use display profile" is causing problem for display. Disable it and restart C4D.

1) it was already disabled. I re-enabled it, restarted C4D and then disabled it and restart C4D again. Currently it is disabled.
2) in both situations render output as PNG sRGB (render settings are same like as attached) has not correct colors like in LV
I think "Use Display Profile" effects only LV render. But if I enable it LV preview image totally lost its color values. So I can't use it already.
In a nutshell, it is disabled and output PNG has same wrong color/light values.
Yes it seems that LV export is giving correct color values (for PNG-ACES-Output:sRgb)
But I have to wait for a solution for this because there are 300+ takes to render
so I can't take renders with this solution but good to know this though.
two things:
1) why we need to PV with this way I don't understand exactly? Your suggestion about
"disable color management" is effecting PV render preview only right?
I guess it is a general tip for getting ACES-rgb results while we are rendering with c4d?
2) is "Buffer type" related to C4D output and it is not related with LV output right?
(I need to learn more about "disable color management" and "buffer type" etc by checking their docs I just wanted to know those are related to LV export or not)
thank you.

Not sure what you understand but seems like not what want to say.
You can use PV with OCIO if you set how I do. Saved images with correct color profiling that's your reference. Also saving from LV menu is for your real reference for color checking. Because PV may suppose and change the output colors with your render settings. Some of them cannot be managed by plugin.

Hi,
As attached I prepared 3 outputs and ACES settings to clarify it:
1) Buffer Type was LDR
2) Buffer Type was HDR16
3) Buffer Type was HDR32
and
4) LV Output to compare
As you can see the closest one is LDR output but it has not correct color values still.
(By the way even though I set output file format as PNG 16 bit, if buffer type is LDR output file is 8 bit also I guess. I need 16 bit PNG to edit them in lightroom later :/ )
Also I've disabled "Enable Color Profile" and PV look is so close to LV while buffer type is HDR32. But render output file is so different from PV or LV look while buffer type was hdr32.
If I don't understand you please ignore this topic I really don't want to take your further time for this. I will research and make some tests to learn this correctly.

OK please do same tests with this test build. There is some changes to avoid the problems
I can get same results in LV and PV
