Shadow Catcher turns everything BLACK!?

Hi,

I'm a newbie in C4D here. I am following a tutprial from Youtube (This one: ) and when I open the files from it in the version of C4D , the Matte option in Commons disappear and the Shadow Catcher blackens the floor and anything the material is applied to.





What am I doing wrong? Any tip or help, please?

Is the version of my C4D defective?

Hi,
the heart of c4doctane plugin is the Live View.
Please always start by opening the Live View and loading the scene in it, by pressing the Octane logo, to see what you are doing in real time.
C4D viewport is good for geometry, not for checking Octane materials and effects.
