node editor handling

1. is there any way to pan/zoom in the node editor? Sometimes some nodes are hidden by another window and i got maximize win to reach
node again.
2. Its hard to find the correct triangle (material) of an obj scene because you only see name while mouse over. Is there any way to handle this
easier?
- Mint 10 64bit nvidia drv 260.19.29/cudatoolkit3.0 intel q6600, 4gbRAM, GTX470 1,2GB

But this functionality has already been requested and the devs probably picked it up (I hope :) ).
