I would appreciate some advice.
I was just doing a quick test in the latest build of octane Blender.
Wanted to see if i could get the botanique and scatter addon to play nice with octane.
Ive ran into a problem. In my viewport render the samples reach around 10 and then the render just restarts and this is just a loop every 10 samples or so.
When I hit final render it seems ok but not in the viewport.
Please could someone give me a hand?
EDIT -- Might Have resolved the issue.
Rendering Issue - Advice Appreciated.
I have had a similar issue like this with a file in the past (not with scatter objects though). I never really resolved it but think it might have been due to some kind of file corruption.

When I had this issue I thought it might have been because I packed some very heavy files into the .blend. But not sure that was really the cause of the problem. I ditched that file and just appended my objects into a new Blender file and recreated some of the materials.

Im still having an issue where after about 5-10 second octane will refresh and it goes in a loop. It just happens in my viewport. Anyone else have this issue. I was only testing out painting on a plane with the latest release. I understand it will refresh when I make a change but this happens even if i just leave it to render.
It does render but keeps refreshing like the same problem I had when I started this post. If someone as any idea what's happening that would be great.

It would be great if you could provide the scene (with its complexity possible reduced as much as possible) showing the issue.
Thank for getting back to me to me lino.
I made the first test again with the texture paint and realised that if im in 'texture' paint mode, it will keep refreshing, but in 'object mode in the viewport it works. In this test it does anyway.
So I remembered it (render loop) doing the same thing with a graswald scene in the last version of blender/octane as well as last graswald version (manually changed graswald materials to octane materials). Ive updated them to the latest Blender/Octane and latest graswald for this next test.
Ive just realised if I have an object selected in the scene when doing an octane viewport render it does the loop, but if i deselect everything then it renders. Maybe this is where my problem has been all along.
Edit - Nope.
I tried with a plant using botanique and the scatter addon and the loop started.
So I had to convert the scattering of the plant to geometry, delete the scatter modifier and then it worked. Cant pinpoint the problem but it maybe scattering. Dont know.
Ive upload both files. Scattered and the converted scattered plant. If you have both addons a look.
