Cinema has just released S24 with some major updates, I've tried and the R23 version of Octane crashes the S24 C4D,
are there any plans to support S24 any time soon?

Otherwise, can confirm what everyone is saying, works quite stable with Radeon 5700 on a MacBook pro through razor core,
no denoising unfortunately, but hopefully it will come one day with updates.

Allegedly they are working on a update on Razer, but only god knows will it be on included on MacOS 11.5 or later update. So, anybody who is using Razer GPU case and cannot wait to work one of the Big Navys... just sit back and relax... :)
I've been sitting on my 6900XT since before Christmas - just a large paper weight for me at this stage. Waiting on the drivers in any MacOS update, think Razor eGPU (which I have) is good to go from what I've read. Just Apple that has to get things going... Fingers crossed!

Hello,

Will it work with C4D r24? I was running it with R23 but it won't load with R24.

I'll install R24 and check what we need to get it working.

Thanks Aoktar, Im sure your busy making the next release to be compatible with s24. Could you possibly give a rough estimate on when that is likely?

Today is my estimated day, there will not be a special build for R24. But I'll let R23 build can work with R24 until a R24 build is ready

Hello.. Just curious.

I've been using Octane X/Cinema4D with MacOS Big Sur for a little while. It's great!!
I see only 1 GPU allowed with this X Prime subscription.

What options do I have if I'd like to add a eGPU to my setup, to give me 2 GPUs?
Seems like Octane X is really my only option, but I'm limited to 1 GPU?

Sorry for a such a noob Q. Just looking for some knowledge. :)

Could you share how to use the R23 Plugin with C4d S24? I can't get it to work. That would be very helpful.

Hi all,
Standalone PR11 is available here with several fixes, also for the Demo issue starting after some time of rendering:

C4D OctaneX PR11 is available here, with first S24 support (you need to install R23.xdl64, it will work also with S24):

In the coming days, also free Prime tier plugins will be updated to PR11, stay tuned!

Happy Mac GPU rendering,
ciao Beppe
