OctaneRender 2020.2 for Houdini Production build 2020.2.1.2

Have you tried to configure the "Intermediate Octane color space" as "Linear sRGB" after disabling the automatic intermediate color space? This seems to match more the renderings of the other engines.

Why is that linear srgb seems to work and aces2065 doesn't? It seems odd, everywhere else I saw that intermediate color space should be aces2065.

I'm not sure, to be honest. There are some updates in the color controls system in the latest 2020.2.3.0 build. Perhaps you should take a look at this new build.
