Octane viewport material constantly turns black

Definitely, it's about R23 changes. Working well on older versions. Also, it's working better if you have Live Viewer open.marco_py wrote:Yeah it's weird because it also happens with diffuse or glossy octane materials too
I have revised some mechanism for material previews on latest builds. I suppose there's a conflict with R23 workflow

I'm experiencing the same issue with C4D R23.110 and Octane 2020.2.4-R2 with a single white glossy material with a little bit of roughness.
It's true that double clicking on the thumbnail of the material to refresh it seems to do the trick for a while. It's weird, I'd never suffered this bug before.

Same happening here. Everything is black. Tried with C4D R23 and S24 with Octane latest 2021.

Yup, same here. Just simple glossy mats all black in the viewport.
It should be fixed on this version. Try it
