Hi,
I have setup a city night scene with wet asphalt (coming from motion squared car paint lib, slightly modified in spectular strength)). The reflexions are very nice except of those of some bright lights (like car headlights and police lights). I tried to reduce the specular of the asphalt, but this make the nice overall look go away.
Are there any tipps for me how I can handle this? Is it maybe possible to reduce the reflexions for these bright light objects? Or are there any other settings I can try?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, you're seeing pixels brighter than 1.0 I believe. You can attenuate that brightness by setting your Hot Pixel removal value to something like 0.35 -- this value is located in the Octane Camera tag > Camera Imager tab. You can also adjust exposure and other settings as well.
The best thing you can do is to save in EXR(Octane) format at 32 bpc. This will give you lattitude in your comp application to use those tools to control the roll off of brightness for those light sources.

Thanks, unfortunately that doesn't help. Setting hot pixel to 0.35 has no effect at all und redicing the exposure makes the image just darker without changing anything at the artefacts.
Any other ideas? I think it's not a post problem.
Thanks
