Hi,
Is there a way I can isolate a texture to only appear where there is the shadow cast by a light? Whether its sunlight or area light.
I'm working on a toon shader and i've managed to get it looking cool but I don't want a standard toon look so i'm trying to incorporate pencil sketch style overlay but I only want it to appear in the shadow of the model. I don't mind been able to do it in a separate pass as but im wanting to add it into the diffuse channel of the shader but only its affect to be wherever there is shadow (cast, not ambient occlusion). I hope that makes sense.
Appreciate any tips.
Ps - a 'follow sun direction but inverted maybe'?
Isolate texture to shadow possibility?

In the latest Blender release notes it says this -- Added the "OutRotation" in "Object Data", it can be used as the rotation for Falloff Tex or light direction.
Unfortunately due to me using a toon shader right now updating both cinema and blender to the latest octane isn't meant to be, as they are having toon material bugs in the octane core of the latest version. Hopefully fixed soon
