Hi samsue,
I don't know if I understand correctly but plugin follows SA SDK and it allows virtually any node input for any node.

yea, I know... but within the 3DS Max environment this is close to "wtf is that" ... it would be much better simply in Backend (if you need to lood in Standalone etc... ) to have the nodes separated and in Frontend to have a confortable to use and organized application.

The SDK for 3ds max is getting better every day, but it is getting more and more messed up ...

I'm more and more encouraged to switch engines, although I recognize the improvement in the SDK.


And I know it's not just me... I'm not the only one who complains on the forum, but everyone I talk to is very disappointed.

I was excited about LightMix... when I went to see how to use it, it gave me a headache... The experience of using Octane gets worse in the same proportion as the engine improves technically.


You saw for yourself, you had to pass me parts of forum topics, to understand why ACES was done in such a way on the Octane. Contrary to almost everything you can read on the official ACES website

i mean, you have to click on 6 items to activate the aces, 7 with the gamma hack...
I don't know what the programmers think... but they are not thinking about us who have to use it for real

Hi samsue,
Next release we'll have the automatic AOV lightmixer creator button consistent with the scene and fixed ACES OCIO, I think definitely.
Said that there is always room for improvement and developers go in that direction.
