As soon as Apple Metal driver will support new Big Navi 6X00 architecture, also OctaneX will be able to use them for rendering... if you can find one.
Here in Italy are almost impossible to find :(

So, just to be clear, Big Sur does not currently support these GPUs?

Not in 11.2.1, as far as I know... hopefully in 11.3 :roll:

I have a new install of C4D and new install of Octane, when I run, I get a 'malicious code warning' and the plugin won't run. Anything I can do?

Hi,
this is normal, you need to press OK, allow the c4doctane plugin and library in System Preferences/Security and Privacy panel, and restart C4D a couple of times.
The issue will be fixed for the stable version.

I'll just go back to the fact that a press release was issued last summer as if this was some big event, and something more than an alpha/beta software release. I'm dumbfounded.

I have nothing but respect for the people working on the code, but the info and marketing that is put forth about this product blows my mind.

I'll be one of the first to buy Octane X once it's finished and production-ready, but there's no credibility to be had here. It may be available this year, next year, who knows. I do know that expecting it to come out anytime soon is not worth caring about, and that a good reputation is easy to lose and hard to regain.

Hello! I have a MacBook Pro 2016 and im thinking to upgrade my graphic card with a eGPU. I'm getting the razer core x enclosure, what graphic cards will you suggest pairing it with? that allows me to actually see what I'm doing in the view port
