Hello,

I have a possibly silly question as this is my first time setting up Octane. I am currently on a Mac Book Pro with the following specs:

Processor: 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Graphics: Radeon Pro 560 4 GB
Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB

I've installed Octane for C4d and have the Live Viewer Window, but when i try to preview I get a notification saying "There is no GPU device which is selected"

Any thoughts or help would be really appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi,
your AMD/Intel GPUs are not currently supported by Catalina Metal driver, but they will be supported with the upcoming Mac Os 11 Big Sur new Metal driver.
OctaneX PR2 is already working with Big Sur beta Metal driver:

So, as soon as Apple will publish Big Sur, your Mac will be supported.

Alternatively, you could add one or more of the currently supported AMD GPUs in eGPU box connected via Thunderbolt 3, like Radeon VII or 5700 XT. in order to be able to use OctaneX on your Mac now.
I’m using this solution with my iMac with AMD 575 GPU.

Ciao,

ciao Beppe
