So I was thinking about the Iray Section Planes that essentially cut through geometry and hide everything thats not between them.
I came across a premade Iray-Interior-Camera that has these section planes parented and hides all the geometry that is not in the view of the camera. This means you can use HDRIs for interior shots without manually removing walls and other objects.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have an Octane-equivalent of those section planes, or is this impossible to implement?

If i recall there was a feature/script in the standalone that was being tested years ago. Will have to search the script collection.

Any luck about this script, and its usability within the plugin ? I could really use that with a few scenes.

I used the Iray Interior Camera a lot with Iray and it saved me a lot of time on my renderings. I would make good use of an Octane equivalent.

I didnt really find a helpful script, but I found this: https://www.daz3d.com/camera-view-optimizer

The Camera View Optimizer hides objects that are not in view of a selected camera. Its not perfect as it sometimes only hides very few things for me but I am still playing around with it to figure it out. So maybe you can try it out for yourself. Also, the Scene Optimizer (https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer) has the same or a similar ability I think, but didnt test this one yet.

Sorry was looking through the scripts i currently have installed on this version of standalone, but what you are looking for is something that can do the same within DAZ Studio, Will check what's available from mCasual that can be adopted.
