Some major density of sss in peppers would make the job more accurate, as they scatter light only when a strong light is in their back, from this camera angle the sss should be almost invisible, very subtle. Also, I would make the pineapple and melon displacement higher, if possible with textures. I saw other your posts, awesome realism from your experiments, keep going man! P.S. where did you find those models? Is it evermotion stuff?

You are right the peppers especially the red appear a bit like a raspberry , the problem is that le light condition influence a lot the look, so in some enlightment looks right in ater look weird, moreever the peppers look fake also in the real life,every models is mine, all the fruit is photoscanned except the coffee machine that i found a dwg totally retopoed.
I think some more soft directed light would help getting more shape on the objects
