H&F: Raising amount of fur

I try to raise the amount of fur for this fluffy guy. But it doest work. No matter what I change, the amount doesn't raise so the fur gets more dense.

Hi mbetke,
hair and fur support seems to work.
Does Octane work well by decreasing fur in your scene?
Is the amount of fur correct using the scanline render?

It was a ready setup from a bought 3d model. So it works for a lot of people using VRay.

I can reduce the amount of fur but not raise it over a certain amount. All other settings seem to work.

The total number of hairs generated is max 10000000.
When Octane stops to increase them?

It seems to stop at 1.000.000 when I change from 1Mio to 5Mio nothing happens.
