Hey, I'm coming back to Octane after a few years working in real-time. I've just got a new 3080 and I just can't get it to work with Octane for Modo. I was planning on having a relaxing Friday night trying to get back into it....But it's been far from relaxing just getting it to work.
I just get the "error failed to find a CUDA binary matching compute model 8.6". I have no idea which versions I should be trying to make it work...Initially standalone was just trying to download the wrong version of Cudnn, but I've sorted that and cuda cores are now recognised in 20.20.2 RC4 with model 8.6... But still no Joy in Octane for Modo 2020.1.
Sorry if I'm missing something really obvious but I find the forums really hard to navigate, not knowing what information is current and what has been superseded, what is relevant to standalone vs plugins etc.
What versions of studio and Octane for Modo should I be using that will be compatible with my 3080?
Thanks
Totally lost in getting my 3080 to work.

What exact version of the Modo plugin have you installed?

Hey Paul, it was the suggested one on the suggested downloads page.....But I found the thread with OctaneRender for Modo 2020.1.5.163 It now seems to work, thanks!.. Had to assign the device manually which is maybe where it didn't work with other versions too, it's been a long week!. But In the Device settings the Cuda core count isn't recognised, see picture attached.
Thanks
