I bought one studio OC renderer in April this year, and now I have bought another one. Are these two overlapping durations or are they separate? Can I apply to cancel the OC subscription I purchased earlier? What should I do with the remaining 4 months of usage time?

I am afraid I have the same question.
I think the new offer is amazing! How many other 3D rendering applications offer three other full blown effects and creation apps as part of their already awesome app. (yes I am an octane render fanboy and proud of it :>))))
But the releases and software numbering schemes and announcements and versions always leave me with questions. Small price (no pun intended) to pay I guess.
BUT.. yes what does happen to the existing purchase one might have if one buys this new offer before cyber Monday?
Do we get a credit, does it start immediately even though 2021 is not here yet etc. (This may be in the small type... sorry.)
Thanks for any clarification. I'm ready to purchase but if I am paying for two "seats" and only need one the savings in waiting until my first one expires might out way what Cyber Monday is offering overall.
Thanks

I am in this situation now, and I now have 2 OC renderers. OC subscriptions have always been confusing. The subscription orders are separate rather than unified into one, and the subscription time of each order is calculated separately, which is very fucking.p3taotoy wrote:I am afraid I have the same question.

Can't there be only one subscription order, and then increase the subscription time of the new purchase on the basis of the original subscription? ?
The current situation is that I have subscribed 2 copies, but only 1 copy.
Could you please refund me the old subscription?
Please guys write to [email protected] for specific licenses questions.
We are having a lot of traffic, but sooner or later we will answer to everyone, thanks.

Hi barokt,
I think you are confusing the licenses with the versions.
You need to have an active maintenance subscription in order to use the new versions, but currently we are at 2020.1 stable, the first new version that is going to arrive is 2020.2 (now in Release Candidate state), while 2021 Preview, will be available only signing in to the closed beta program, until it will be stable: Initially it will be Standalone Windows only, then other operating systems and plugins will be supported during development.
To sign up to the closed beta program, please write an email to [email protected] with “2021 Preview” as title, thanks.
Happy GPU Rendering,
ciao Beppe
