Hello Octane World,

This is my first project using Octane as rendering engine. Render time - i couldn't tell exactly because it was an overnight thing (on gtx 295), when i woke up everything was done.... NukeX was used for the final color grading and motion blur (motion vectors and RGB alphas were exported separately from Maya), Maya was used for modeling and braking the geometry, all the dynamics effects were done in RealFlow 5.0.1. Client was really happy with the outcome. This is the first one, i'm finishing another intro soon (this one will be the combination of Octane and Mental Ray). Your comments are more than welcome.

Thank you for watching and all the best.

Voja

P.S. English isn't my first language so i'm sorry for any mistake

Hi Winsont,

I've just downloaded the file and it works fine, maybe you can't play .FLV files? Anyway, i'll export the animation in .mp4 format and post here soon. Thank you

Hi beppe,

Yes, direct lighting, i know that path tracing is the way to go but i just couldn't afford to miss the deadline. Direct lighting clears much faster and in this instance does the job quite well.

Ciao:)

I personally think that the camera path really brought down this piece.
And i would like to see it again in path tracing.
apart from that
Good job m8 ;)

Thank you all for being so supportive, i'm a newbie here. I have octane licence for just over 2 weeks now. I'll try to be active here on forum as much as i can.

to Radiant: maybe i'll do the path tracing ver. but that won't be soon:)
to Zenonn: Thank you
to Beppe: DL is very cool, especially AO in that mode, so soft and so fast... great piece of software

All the best,
Voja
