Reflection and Spec is not working

I recently downloaded the latest demo version to try it out. Everything seems to be working fine except reflection and specular shader. No matter how much I tweak spec and roughness there is no change happening. Any idea what I could else try?

I'm working with C4D R23

In C4D R21 reflection works fine, but diffuse material is not working at all. The color sliders are not affecting the color. In the attached images the floor is in black color but in render everything is white.

Restarting C4D seems to have solved the problem for now.

Hi,
please, pay attention to the Clay Mode icon in Live View:

If pressed one time, you enable the Clay Mode, that replace all the materials with a Diffuse white, useful to check the lighting conditions:

If pressed twice, you enable the Clay Diffuse Mode, that consider all the materials as Diffuse, removing reflections/refractions, useful to check the textures applied:
