This is a render test of a Head I have sculpted with Mudbox.
Rendered with Octane pre23_5 x64.
It's just a starting point.
An alternative rendering.
The Mudbox mesh.

Nice!, I also use Mudbox.
You've got a sweet texture there!
I was wondering now that I saw your post - is there still no way of displacing meshes inside of Octane?
( I read some other posts whilst doing a search, but they weren't current. )
If not, is the work-flow just to use a Bump and/or Normal map?

Hi, MHS !
You are right : you can't displace mesh at the moment in Octane.
Yes the work-flow is just to use a Bump and/or Normal map, but I don't have used it in Octane as I don't have sculpted yet skin pores.
For the rendering technique, I only use 'Texture Environment' because I don't achieve the same realism with Daylight.

Ah, thanks for the info. ^_^
Too bad, I would have loved to do full displacement attempt with Octane, it's a brilliant program.
I bought my licence today - waiting for business hours to start so I can start experimenting!
I will post some work soon - good luck with your model.
