Hi,
I'm running into this issue here where my xpTrails won't render motion blur. I tried rendering with xpSplinemesher and still no luck. I tried setting to transform/vertex speed in the Octane Object and no luck. The only thing that is successful with motion blur is the xpEmitter.
Octane Xparticles Cinema4d Motion Blur problems!

You can't get mblur with this option if objects have non-constant vertex count

Is there an alternative that you could suggest that would work to achieve the same effect? I just need to have lines wrapping around a form...aoktar wrote:You can't get mblur with this option if objects have non-constant vertex count
Hey Aoktar- thank you for all the hard work on the plug-in port to c4d. As many of us use x-particles, this motion blur issue has become a big problem. Redshift and Cycles can render motion blur on x-particles trails and spline mesher objects that are dynamic. Is there any way to incorporate this into Octane? It is going to deter a lot of people from using octane with c4d if it is not resolved. We have all tried the vertex speed tags like realflow, etc. It appears none of these methods currently work for Xparticles and basically make many functions in xparticles useless for final production work in octane.
Is there anything we can do to fix this? It’s an issue we’ve seen posted on this board several times.
Appreciate all of your hard work over the years and your willingness to support the community.

escalated - whole team is looking into it - TBH it may need to hack of some sort as we are still waiting on a new Xp SDK (ours is from 2017, but Insydium CEO has promised me a new one asap...I’ll ping him again)
