Hi there;

Is there any way to make the Octane's light intensity react more linearly? Currently when I'm keying the intensity from 0 to 25 the amount of light ramps up really fast and ruins the effect i'm after. -Basically revealing a product against a black background-

I can of course get around the problem by adjusting the graph but that's an extra step that I would have to go through for every light in the scene.

Thanks.

It may be due to being render calculation is linear color space or nature of lights. Try some tangent values for your keyframes to make it easier on visible effect

Thanks for the reply Ahmet;

I do use tangents as a work around but still i'm getting less favourable results.

I think the problem is from 0 to 1 intensity the curve is a lot smoother than 1 to -say- 30 so when I animate the intensity from 0 to 30, the lights pop immediately at first than slowly climb to max value. Again i'm trying to counter this curve with tangents but that doesn't help much.

Thanks anyways.

Best.
