Not possible at the moment, you need to load .abc, or .fbx sequences ready to be rendered.

thanks beppe,

i found requests going back to 2016-17 for this basic feature.
its really disappointing that on every turn there is a massive stumbling block.

my blender plugin is slow and clunky, and believe me i gave it a fair go. its not usable on my system.
daz3d cant import orbx geo so cant handle particles or vdb at all.
i was hoping atleast standalone would be feature complete but not even close. apparently i cant even set basic keyframes, a feature also requested half a decade ago and more.

syncing every asset independently to begin at a specific frame is a nightmare and i am sure you know that.

Hi,
the issue is that Standalone is not designed for creating and managing animated contents, but only for reading them.
The possibility to offset animated assets will arrive sooner or later, but it is not surely trivial to be added.

In the meantime, you could have a look at the Unreal plugin:

i would hardly say that changing the framerate offset is in any way creating or managing content but whatever.

the problem with unreal (among other things) is that vdb files dont work properly, i have reported the bug myself:

- the volume settings get reset every time unreal is reset
- animated volumes cant be viewed in viewport but only while exporting/rendering.

blender version works 1/3 speed, not the mention how convoluted some aspect are (colour management, denoising..) but lino says my files render fine on his end so its tough luck for me.
i also tried daz but it cant import orbx so i cant use any animated imported geo, particles or vdb.

and there it is my experience with octane in a nutshell, for all the beauty it inherently has, its laughably inconsistent across the plugins.

i was hoping therefore i could use the standalone since i am honestly fed up with plugins, but i cant even zoom into the nodes.
it really is both funny and sad at the same time.

i will kindly ask for a workaround on that zooming thing. if there is none, you tell me how that is acceptable.
