Hey guys,
I'm rendering some short product animations here, and every 3rd or 5th frame (it changes randomly) looks different/ has some errors in it. Errors like some parts of the product turn invisible, and turn visible again in the next frames. Or the upper half of the product/image is completely missing, while it's perfectly fine in the next frames.
So after rendering 200 frames, about 30-50 frames are corrupt.
I'm rendering a simple PNG sequence with alpha channel.
Octane is rendering more damaged frames if RTX is ON. If i disable it, more frames render as expected.
Happens with Cinema 4D S22 with Octane 2020.1.5-R2 and latest Drivers (2x RTX 2080 Ti's on Win10 Pro)
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Oly

Hi Oly,
difficult to say without more info.
Please upgrade top 2020.1.5-R4, then open the scene, then go to c4doctane Settings/Other tab, and, at the bottom of the panel, enable all the Log option checkboxes:

Then, load the scene in Live View, then in Picture Viewer, until you have issues, and share the c4doctanelog.txt file that you find in c4doctane directory, or in the path specified in Settings/Other panel, thanks.
ciao Beppe

Hi Beppe,
Thanks for your answer. Here's the log file, I hope it unveils anything helpful.
I have restarted the render manually many times during the last hour, because octane just stopped rendering after a few frames (sometimes even after 1 frame).
In the picture viewer I see the samples are counting up to 128 for the first few frames, but then, all of a sudden, it stops at 96 or 116 frames or whatever, and that's it, it just hangs and I have to restart the render.
(I'm rendering info passes right now with a render layer.)
Thanks,
Oly
