I wonder if the lagging of Nvidia behind AMD (ATI rip) in terms of new products (AMD is just to launch the new 6000 series) and performances, will be beneficial for us - ie. Nvidia will move their asses and make an outstanding and fast product, that wont meltdown and eat all your PSUs, or they will try to stay afloat by throwing re-packaged stuff on the market until they release the real new series...

They're laggin heavily I expect another marketing bullshit as a gift from them on Christmass. They plan on to release 28nm in late 2011 (which in nVidia world means summer 2012.... ).

Damnit....they better atleast release this shit they're making with that promised 2560 vram or I'll be really pissed


I wonder who's gonna buy nVidia low and middle class cards (which still amount to atleast half of their income) when all these integrated GPUs like AMD Fusion will come out.

I wonder if they are going to have the same performance issues as the 400 series (i.e. was this a mistake or will it be an ongoing ploy to get people to buy Quadros instead of GeForce). Either way I wouldn't be looking at Nvidia if I didn't have Octane.

This card could just be an engineering sample or an experiment by ZOTAC, and may never see the light of day, especially since it would perform about on par with the rumoured GTX 580.

That is ridicolous product, even more overcomplicated monster running out of juice, total crap. The fuckin' size of that, 12 inches my (insert whatever).

They really need to speed-forward their technology, ATi (Well AMD, since trademark ATi has just vanished) is miles ahead right now:( Why coudn't they had invented CUDA and market the shit out of it, or atleast care about openCL a bit more...

For games yeah, but fermi chips have caches and many things that AMD cards don't have, which make them so fast for raytracing.
I think nvidia is doing great work, they are working towards building a new type of GPU instead of just making faster directX cards every iteration.
