Hi Everyone! I recently got into C4D and Octane, so I'm an absolute noob :')
I've been playing with scenes and importing models from sketchfab, but I realized that all the imported models crate very weak shadows when using area light, but if I add a primitive object, it creates a much stronger shadow. Also, when I use octane daylight and sun expression the shadow stretches and is very visible.

How can I increase the shadow that's being dropped by the models to be stronger?

Hi,
the shadow sharpness depends from the dimensions of the emissive geometry.
The smaller the dimensions, the sharper the shadow will be.
Go to Area Light Details tab, and reduce the dimensions at 5cm x 5cm or lower, to get sharp shadows with emitters.

Also consider that the scale of geometry is very important for a correct behavior of the render.

ciao Beppe
