Ability to dock Octane RenderView Inside Hou RenderView.

Hi Guys ,

It would be nice to be able to dock the floating octane renderview , inside the houdini renderview.
We can use the renderview but without the extra button.
Having both would be nice.

Hi,

Yes, I agree that this could be a great feature. Unfortunately, this is something not possible now without changing the current IPR window API from the raw OpenGL window used now to Qt, something that I want to do at some point along this Octane 4.x dev cycle.

Hi juanjo,

I re-up this feature, because this one would be really useful for people working with only one screen.
Houdini is great but use a lot of space to display all his UI elements ( spreadsheet, node graph, attribute panel ... )
Thus there is only few space to put octane viewer, and i am always minimising / maximising the UI all days, and it's kind of a PITA.

That would be just great if we could dock the panel in houdini UI.
Have you any idea for the ETA of this feature ?

Sorry, this feature is still in development. All the work related to the constant core new features and updates and the support/bugs fixing is not leaving more free time to work on it, but I still want to release at least a first plugin version including this feature before the end of the year.
