Was seriously thinking about switching to Windows but just saw the Octane X announcement. Some questions...
1.
In future, will Octane X support AMD D700 GPUs?
2.
Can the Octane Render Cloud solution be used without a supported local GPU? Or is that not practical because it's not integrated into the plugin like that? i.e. You test locally, then upload a file via FTP etc?
3.
Will Octane X fully support Modo for Mac?
4.
Will Octane X support eGPUs?
5.
The announcement was confusing with regard to price. Will Octane X be the same price as the normal subscription or is it only for new Macs and free?
6.
Is there an ETA for final release or is it just sometime in the coming months?
