I've never really used standalone before. Probably should get to know it a bit just in case. Thanks!bepeg4d wrote:Hi,
it is necessary to install Standalone only in Windows...

Is there a demo for us non-subscribers for the Blender Mac plugin yet? I want to test it for real before i sub.
It works fine in the standalone, so it should work in Blender too, but I want to try first.

Hello! My name is Carla and first forgiveness for my awful english. I recently discovered the world of Cinema 4D and wanted to install the "Octane X" but I wanted to make sure it worked on my mac, I read the specs but I'm really lost.
I have a macbook pro 2018, Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB / Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB with MacOS Catalina. Can it work?
Thank you so much!!!

Hi! i have a macbook pro 2018 with Radeon Pro 555x... Octane X would work?
I'm afraid I'll pay for a subscription and it won't be supported.
Thanks!

Hi,
currently only Navi and Vega AMD GPUs are supported.
If you want to test your GPU, please download and install Standalone OctaneX PR1.1 demo:
https://render.otoy.com/downloads/a/107 ... _macos.dmg
Then open Standalone demo, right click anywhere in the node graph panel, and choose Materials/Metallic, to create the material node.
Now right click on the node and choose Render.
If your GPU is supported, you should see something like this: ciao Beppe

Everything was ok, but when I do the right click on the node the list with de Render option doesn't appear. Why is that?
I have a MacBook Pro 16inch 2019 with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4gb. I read on the forums that this model is compatible with Octane X.
Thanks, and sorry my english!
