server busy lock up with texture relink

Hi everyone,

Im getting this everytime I try to open some older files. It doesn’t happen on the newer ones.

I just locks up with this on the screen and there is nothing I can do but shut down and start again.

Rather frustrating as there is a lot of work I cant access at the moment.

Ive read about this in other areas and ive tried doing as they suggest but its not working.

Any ideas?

Try turning off Rhino Updates.

Hi Paul,

Yeah ive done that and it seemed to make difference on the newer files but not on the older ones.

Ive also removed the splash screen but still no luck.

What about if you click "Switch To" or "Retry"?

Does Task Manager report an app with high CPU use?

Are you able to send me an older file where this occurs pls?

HI yeah ive tried the switching to etc and it just jams up and there is no way out of it.
Ive tried starting in safe mode and it warns about plugin bugs etc and if i say yes then there are a heap or warnings like the one attahed (all different and there were at leat 20 i clicked thorugh before I got bored.

Ill send you a file now.

Nah the task manager doesnt really show anything but Ill check again.

Hi Tim. When this previously occurred to you I suggested you delete the config.xml file, but I never heard back from you with if it worked or now.

Hi Paul,

no i never managed to fix it. I moved on with another project but Ive got it again.

Icew deleted the config file but it still jams up. I think i did this before but it didnt make any difference.
