Suddenly some of our render nodes and workstations are getting a 'Could not validate license' error like this.
What is going on?
Whenever the octane servers die like this, we cannot render and lose precious gpu rendering time. We cannot use USB dongles for now as people use octane sporadically on their workstations.
What is stopping octane from developing an offline floating license server (like FlexLM or RLM) ? Is it the cost? Does it have to be propriety like this? We have over 50 machines with octane licenses and now some of them are having this issue and will take some wrangling to get them back to normal.
