Hello Folks,

my Setup:
Windows 10
6-cores a 4.7
64 GB Ram
2x GTX 1080ti (11 GB)
Cinema 4d S22, Octane Version 20.1.4

I have a bigger scene which i optimized. All textures are 1024 or less. Only 2 are 2K.
I rendered like 160 frames and now it interruppts all the time. The first frame is fine with enough vram. (7.72used/1.256free/11)
Then the second one needs suddenly more vram (8.689used/511free/11) and longer Rendertime. It´s exactly the same geometry and framing. After a few frames I get the cuda 700 Error.
I tried following drivers 451.77, 451.77 and 452.06.

I rendered a few scenes from this scenario. It was a kind of heavier scene but after optimization anything ran fine.

Does anyone had this cuda error with the newest Version?
Any ideas?

Best regards,
Dan

So with the time outit renders 60 frames.
It takes 2.30 minutes/frame
Then the frames takes longer up to 4 min and then it crashed again.

Also removed drivers with DDU and reinstalled latest driver 452.06
I´m give it another try just in the moment. This is the last thing i know to do.

Hi,
please, export the scene in .orbx animated format, close c4d, and render the scene via Standalone, via menu Scripts/Batch rendering, to see if you have the same CUDA 700 error.
You can open the log in Standalone by going to menu Windows/Create Log window.

Looking forward for your feedback,
ciao Beppe

Hi Beppe,

at the moment i´ve problem to export the orbx-file.
It stucks after half of the 329 frames. It has to render from 2647 to 2975.
I will restart and try again later.

Exporting the Scene to orbx doesn´t work. It always interrupts in the middle...
I have a few Cache files and Alembics. I don´t know if this is the reason?
I am working on a scene with the same setup at the moment. I only use one of the two graphic-cards.
Out of nothing this Error appears.

CUDA error 700 on device 1: an illegal memory access was encountered
-> failed to download symbol(stats data)
device 1: path tracing kernel failed

I couls send you the project. But with Cachefiles it´s like 8Gb i think...

I optimized the scene more. It still crashes, but i was able to export it to standalone.
Doesn´t take the Expresso-driven animations. Do i have to bake all Expresso-related Objects to export it to Standalone?
