Render buffer A/B comparison gamma issue

I'm getting this strange issue when I turn on the render buffer comparison where B will be lighter than A even though I haven't changed anything. I'm assuming this is a gamma issue, but I have everything set to linear, including the render buffer type.

Not sure I understand what you're saying - I'm not asking for V4 updates, I just want to know what's causing this issue.

I once again have no idea what you are saying. Do you mean I should upload a scene file? What are tryouts?

you are using an old unsupported version.
You are at v4, while now the latest version is v2020.1.4 (v8).
Probably you need to upgrade your licenses to be able to install the latest version, please visit the following link:
