Hi everyone,

Does anyone knows why I'm having this black area behind my glass while using an area light.
"Fake shadows" is on and I've played with specular visibility but no success.

Tkx in advance.

Hi,
have you played with the visibility of the area light?
Better to use Rectangle, or Sphere primitives with Area Lights, other primitives are not well supported yet.

Hi there,

So I still got the same problem but now in a different scene.
Rectangle area light is not invisible through glass.
Seems like a refraction issue.
I've already played with opacity and other visibility options but the black rectangle remains visible.

Also tried using a plane with emission and 0 opacity but can't make it work.

Any ideas?

Ok, seems like a camera visibility issue.
If I move the same light off the glass it'll disappear but keeping it within the glass will make it look black.
