I have a Mac Pro with a wired Mighty Mouse, and the middle button doesn't work when trying to navigate the Live Viewer. That's not insurmountable, but it also means I can't pan around in the Node Editor – and that's a real issue.
Not sure what the problem is – the MMB is set up as Button 3 – but can we please have some way of setting up our own navigation hot keys?
I'm using the first release of Octane X, with C4D R21.
Middle mouse usage in macOS

I remember the Mighty Mouse doing some weird stuff back when it came out, and think it required some Special Magic Applesauce under the hood to work as a normal USB three button mouse. It's been discontinued for more than ten years, so you may need a third party USB mouse/keyboard utility to get it to behave.

The middle button works fine in other apps that need it. Truth is I don’t much like using the middle button; I have all of C4D’s nav set up with mouse/key combos, and it’s just a bit annoying there’s no option to have a user-defined option, or even icons like C4D’s main viewport. Why the mouse isn’t working properly in Octane is beyond me.
It does seem like a Mighty Mouse issue, though. We use various 3 button mice on Macs/Octane/C4D with no problem. I'm using an ancient Microsoft "USB and PS2 Compatible" Intelimouse right now.
