I have a carpet made with the hair system, the dynamics are off. But now every first frame of a render server node batch there is an error (except for frame 0). The frames thereafter are normal.
So it's not changing every frame. Only the first frame of a frame range sent to a render slave
So if for example the render is divided over 5 render computers. There is an error 5 times on the first frame of each assigned batch.
I have motion blur turned on. See screenshots.
Does anybody know what is causing this, and how to avoid it? I would rather not have to convert it to geometry.
Hair error on first frame of frame range on renderfarm

What happen if you render 5 frames from middle of terange in your comp?

I will try Aoktar, I have to wait an hour for a render to finish. Thanks for your quick reply.

Do it with less maxsamples to don't wait one hour, thanksHeerko wrote:I will try Aoktar, I have to wait an hour for a render to finish. Thanks for your quick reply.

I understand thanks
But I'm waiting on another render unrelated to this issue.

I tried to replicate the problem like you said by a frame range in the middle. But at my workstation no problems. So what could be causing it? And what to do to get it rendered?
I also just tried to generate circles for the hair, but it's waaaaay to heavy. It crashes Cinema 4D

Question: Why did you activate moblur with object tag in hair object? It's just for when you have animated hairs and wants to see effect. No need for static hairs. It will get effect from camera movement but not from own relative motion.
Also don't know exactly. Maybe a problem with running plugin from commandline and motion blur engine. Send me a simple scene for example and describe how and where are you rendering it

Heerko,
If you are using a commandline to render, you may want to try using Cinema 4D.exe with the "-nogui" switch instead of commandline.exe.
So instead of:
"C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D R22\commandline.exe" -render "path to project"
use:
"C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D R22\Cinema 4D.exe" -nogui -render "path to project"
I had all sorts of little rendering glitches until I started using the second method. I know they are supposed to be the same, but using the "-nogui" version cleared up all my issues.
Might be worth a shot if you have time to try.

Thanks BCres, I have no idea what commandline is to be honest. I'm rendering at Ranch Computing.
