Licensing issue has been resolved apparently, thanks !

Also, what would be the go to place for questions regarding Embergen ? This thread ? Their forums seem to be a little desolate.

I played around with Emmbergen before and the speed is just incredible and wonderful. One thing I found very weird is that there doesn't seem to be an option to scroll through the timeline, there's pause/resume, one step forward and reset. That's it, unless I'm missing something. Documentation is also very, very basic, it's still in beta of course, but a good manual is so important :)

Really wonderful piece of software, so congrats to everyone involved :)

Just tried a few example files exported to VDB and they exported prefectly even with 3X upsampling - attached an example render.

First question. How do you start the export to VDB process? I click on the "Export" button but am not given a file selector box. Nothing happens. It's like the button is non-functional.

Second. Is it normal for the GPU to be at 99% even when the program is sitting idle? (2080ti)

Thanks in advance.
I think you have to click on the Export node.

I also have a high GPU idle even without a simulation occurring.

Thank you, Agendum. That's what it was.

I was using the volcano preset and it didn't have a simulation node so that threw me, but I have added one. Not sure if I connected it to the right place, but it's producing VDBs as I type. I should have known it was something simple I was overlooking.

I appreciate the help.

**EDIT

Yep, it works. But I really need to learn how to shade these within C4D to look like the rendered ones in EmberGenFX. Mine never look the same once I start trying to use the built in shader in the Octane VDB volume.

What are you going to do. "You have to sign it into law before you can read it." As exciting as this appears to be, once bitten - twice shy.

Hi,
I'm a little bit confused with license system.

If I Upgrade my legacy V4 perpetual licenses to 2020.x perpetual licenses (upgrade to OctaneRender Entreprise + 1 year annual maintenance --> 499.00 €), will I have access to all DCC plugins and to a full commercial license of EmberGenFX standalone at no extra cost ?

Thanks for your help...

Chris.

I have a OctaneStudio Subscription but it shows "Not Licensed".And when I go to RNDR.otoy.com still tell me I need a Subscription and sends me to the octane render website to get a subscription.
