AMD performance compared to NVIDIA: STREAM PROCESSORS COUNT?
One tech question:
In the past, NVIDIA Cuda Core amount influenced significantly the octane render performance - eg: 1080ti vs 1070, both based on same gpu architecture, but one with lower amounts of cuda cores.
Maybe a dimple question – but only to be sure about intense hardware invest, based upon Octane X perfomance:
Is it the same with AMD: The more shading/stream units, the better the Octane X performance?
thankx in advance
Octane X for Mac with AMD!!!

1 DAAAAAAAY!
They said that they are ready, and they still need to obtain "approval". In other words, if there is no approval, the OctaneX software itself will not be released on Friday.
do you understand?

I think it's hard to say, it may take a few months.

10.15.6 just came out today - that’s what we’ve been waiting for! And also what we will need to be running for octane X metal, so grab it now to get ready!
We were expecting 10.15.6 to drop a bit earlier this week, to ensure a day or two of testing done on it before our release. We will instead have to do this over the weekend for a final, final round of testing on today’s 10.15.6 GM with our (awesome) closed beta group before the release goes live.
That’s the latest! Just wanted to make sure all knew where we are at as we get ready to count down the final hours to launch!
