Hey

Can't seem to get a denoise pass in the Live Viewer. I'm using 2020.1.2. Nvidia Studio Driver is 441.28 on a GTX 1080 TI

I don't use the C4D plug-in much as a rule, but I'm rendering hair so I need to. Denoise works fine in Standalone.

I have all the prerequisites set, i.e. camera with octane camera tag with camera imager activated and spectral AI denoiser activated (see attached image)

I mean, I don't even know if denoising works on C4D hair, but even if it doesn't I still need to use it...

Can somebody shed some light on what I'm doing wrong, if anything

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

John

Your screenshot has the Info & Progress section disabled in Live Viewer. If you enable it (right-click > toggle info) you will see some buttons on the lower left of the image. One of those buttons is labeled "DeMain" which is the denoised main pass. Selecting the DeMain button will show the denoised image.

Appreciate the response, but that does absolutely nothing at alll.

Nothing changes in the Live Viewer window.

Also, just for information, I have denoiser activated in the GPU settings.

I also have Cinema 4D R18 with 2018.1.3 R5 installed and it's the same - toggle info does not bring up a denoise pass button.

Got it sorted now.

Texture stats was turned off in settings>other.

Once I flagged that, beauty/denoise/noise buttons appeared.

Thanks.
